Troparion, Tone 2

O God, Creator and Maker of the universe, by Thy blessing help us successfully complete the work of our hands begun for Thy glory, and preserve us from every calamity, for Thou alone art almighty and lovest mankind.

Kontakion, Tone 6

Swift in protection and mighty in help, manifest now the grace of Thy power; and, blessing and strengthening Thy servants, bring their intention to accomplish this good work to fulfillment, for as the mighty God Thou canst do whatsoever Thou willest.

Prayer Before Beginning Any Work

O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of truth, Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, Treasury of good things and Giver of life, come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.

Bless, O Lord, and help me, a sinner, to accomplish this work which I am beginning, unto Thy glory.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Only-begotten Son of Thine unoriginate Father, Thou hast said with Thy most pure lips: “Without Me ye can do nothing.” O my Lord, my Lord, believing with all my soul and heart the words spoken by Thee, I fall down before Thy goodness and pray unto Thee: help me, a sinner, to accomplish for Thy sake this work which I am beginning, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, through the intercessions of the holy Theotokos and of all Thy saints. Amen.
